FOUNDERS
HISTORY
• The Capital Investment Club was founded in 2010 by Chris Huff and Jim Plew
• The original vision for the organization was conceived at an etiquette luncheon in Indianapolis during the fall semester
• Early executive committee meetings were held every Monday in the Honors College
• With support from Kelley Professor David Steele, the Capital Investment Club became an official registered student organization in December
• Active meetings and scheduled events began in the spring of 2011
• The first call-out meeting took place on February 21st, 2011 in the basement of University College
• Two additional positions- Treasurer and Director of Professional Relations- were filled by Corey Stasen and Jon Nix, respectively
• The club held its first official event at the Merrill Lynch offices in Indianapolis on February 25, 2011
